pray on the way

On May 10, 2026 I was on a walk with the dog in the woods and all was going great until a tree root decided to pick a fight with my fibula and the tree root won!!! I called my husband to get as close as he could with the car to the woods and I hobbled out the rest of the way. I ended up having a broken fibula near the ankle. Apparently it is the most common place to break the fibula…so I guess I’m common…hahahahaha.

The Fibula Saga made me go into a ‘forced’ time of lounging. During that time I had some choices to make.

1) Have a pity party because plans to take care of my grandson had to be cancelled.

2) Choose to embrace the ‘lounging’ time.

I’m not going to lie. I did have a bit of a pity party the first couple days. I was sad I couldn’t visit my son and his wife and take care of my grandson. I was also sad that I had to take a break from my 5-mile a-day walks with the dog.

However, being who God created me to be…I ventured away from the pity party quickly and embraced more time reading, listening to the whisper of The Lord and journaling.

During that time God presented MANY cool things. I am going to be highlighting one of those things that LITERALLY has been life changing for me and has had an impact on a few others I shared it with the last week (6/24/2026).

1 Thessalonians 5:17 ~ Pray without ceasing.

The Lord translated that to me by saying….Pray on the Way.

I’m a usual “Pray on the Way” person. It’s not often I travel in my vehicle that I don’t pray at some point in time. I made a ‘sticker’ that said those words and put it on my steering wheel. WOW…WOW…WOW!!!! It LITERALLY caused me to pray and converse with The Lord tenfold more than I was before!!! It made me think of how impactful that little ‘sticker’ was to me and I decided to share it with a few people.

After a week of having the sticker in their cars I asked those two people if it made a difference. Both said YES!!! They were each in awe of how much that little sticker changed their focus as they drove from point A to point B.

Because I believe this little sticker has the potential to catapult people to pray and change our world in positive ways, I will be including one in each order of You Are Cards. I also plan on carrying them with me. If you see me out and about just ask me for one and I’ll gladly give the sticker to you.

I TRULY BELIEVE that if we can take our drive time and focus on praying for our families, friends, community, state, nation and world we will get to be a piece of God moving in BEAUTIFUL ways!!! You want to know WHY I BELIEVE that???
